After a long time thinking, I have decided to jailbreak my iPhone. I jailbroke my iPhone with ZiPhone 2.6 by Zibri. It was really easy and worked fine. In this post, I will give you my step by step process on how to jailbreak a 1.1.4 iPhone. I will also show you some sweet screenshots of my newly hacked iPhone.
Step by Step Guide To Jailbreaking Your iPhone/iTouch
1) Prepare your iPhone for jailbreaking. This is not a “real” step since there is no real way to prepare your iPhone for jailbreaking. This is because as long as your iPhone is on 1.1.4, or 1.1.3, you are ready for jailbreak. If your super scared, the only thing you can do is restore. This will take away the .01 % of anything bad happening to your iPhone.
2) Download the latest version of ZiPhone. Download it, unzip it, and run it. This should be ZiPhone 2.6 unless Zibri has released a new version by now.
3) Plug in your iPhone/iPod Touch and jailbreak it. If your jailbreaking an iPod Touch, make sure you follow this screenshot:

Once that is selected simply press start process. For jailbreaking an iPhone, it is a little more complicated. The way I was suggested to do it was to click on advanced and then check “Jailbreak.” Make sure nothing else is checked.

This is the way I suggest doing it because it worked for me. It is possible that going to the main page and selecting jailbreak will work also.

Once you have selected one of these methods, press start process.
4) Sit and watch for 10 seconds. You iPhone will first get the symbol “connect to iTunes” and iTunes will say that your iPhone is in recovery mode and needs to restore. Ignore that message and don’t touch anything. Then your iPhone will get rid of that symbol and will display a ton of code for about 10 seconds. When that is done, your iPhone will reboot jailbroken. You will then have installer.app. It’s that easy.
