I have noticed that the application’s ranking in the top 100 entertainment list has, in fact, been changing every 2-3 hours or so.

Only about a week ago, this was not the case. When my application “War: The Soundboard” was on the list, it took around 6 hours for the list to refresh and the rankings to change.

I believe apple has made it so that the App Store updates and refreshes more often.

What could this mean:

1. Apps come out faster after they are accepted
2. Prices change faster after developer changes them
3. Reviews come out quicker
etc.

Has anyone else noticed this?

AppViz is one of the most useful applications I have downloaded in a while.

As an iPhone developer, I love checking the sales reports everyday for all my applications. Unfortunately, Apple’ makes it a little difficult. You have to sign into iTunes connect, Click sales reports, find the day you want to see, then click preview. Even the preview is not very easy to read and understand. AppViz, fixes all of this and does much much much more.

AppViz will automatically download your sales reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) from Apple’s servers so you never have to go to iTunes Connect again to get your sales reports. AppViz will allow you to view these reports in some fascinating ways. You can view them just as they come out on iTunes Connect, except in a nicer, grid way. You can view them as a graph, showing you when your sales went up or went down. And lastly you can view them as in a dashboard review. AppViz gives your sales reports a whole new function, real analytics.

Hahaha, you think thats it? AppViz has a whole lot more. Not only does AppViz calculate sales, but it calculates revenue. It will display your revenue exactly the same way I described in the last paragraph. This allows you to know an estimate of how much a certain app has made in a day, week, month. It is so much nicer than having to wait a month for a financial report from apple.

The last amazing thing that AppViz does is that it can downloads reviews of your apps for you, from all the international iTunes Stores! This means you can see all reviews, not just the ones in your local iTunes Store.

AppViz solves so many problems I have had with sales reports from Apple. It organizes everything, gives you all the information, and allows a developer real control over knowing his sales reports and understanding the analytics. It really is amazing, and if you’re an iPhone dev, get it. It sells for $29.99, but there is a 30-day trial and I urge all of you to download it. You’ll see after you use it, it’s well worth the money.

When I made this, my original intentions were to sell it, but after seeing all the .99 fart applications in the app store, I decided I was gonna make it free and maybe, it would help me out in the end by giving me more publicity.

Well, in the second day of selling “Fart For Free” it has become the 81st most downloaded free app in the entertainment category.

Just on 1/8/09, I had over 3000 units downloaded.

I’m trying not to think about the money I would be getting if I made this .99

I have just bought a 2.8 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro… My dream computer.

Only about two years ago, I got my first mac. At that time, I never dreamed of buying a $3000 computer, nor dreamed of having the money. Now, the only thing I can think of that would be worth spending my money on is a new MacBook Pro.

With the money I have made from selling my iPhone apps, the little money from blog advertising and a few past holiday gifts from relatives, I am able to get my dream computer. Oh, and that little thing called student discount helped a bit also.

Now when I say “dream computer,” I am not thinking of some magical computer that I “dream” of. I am thinking of the computer that I have always wanted since I got my MacBook, but has never been able to get. Finally, now that I can make my own source of income, I am able to purchase this amazingly powerful machine.

This is sort of an investment. Hopefully, this MacBook Pro will allow me to do things that I could not do with my MacBook and therefore, will in the end, make me more money. So, instead of spending the money I had on a tempurpedic mattress (was actually thinking about it, believe it or not) I can invest in something that may actually bring the money back to me.

Anyway, I am extremely happy I was able to buy this wonderful device and I cannot wait until it reaches my doorstep and I can watch that awesome welcome movie.

Here are the specs:

I made a video a few months ago about Apple’s misleading iPhone ads, in which I showed exactly how the editing process was done. Well, it seems as though Apple has recognized everyones complaint and have changed their ads.

In the latest iPhone ad, “Dilemmas,” you can see that in the first few seconds of the ad there is some text at the bottom that reads, “Sequence shortened.”

Just goes to show you that Apple actually reads feedback about them online. I am glad they fixed their mistake.
